¿Who are we?

Our Oncological Center will be the first one in its type in Mexico. It is part of the well known Radiotherapy Southwest Oncology Centers, located in Scottsdale and Glendale Arizona centers, where the most sophisticated technology in radiotherapy treatments is applied, therefore the center built in Aguascalientes City will be managed with the same criteria, but only adjusting itself to the characteristics of the Mexican population.
Our objective is to broadly benefit the Mexican population in the matters of Health Care.

The main characteristics of our center and what will definitely make the difference in the field of oncological treatments that are currently been given in the country are:  

                       -Integral Care: The oncology in general has evolved as scientific knowledge and technology have developed in such a way that it’s practically impossible that a person will know all the general and specific information about such a complex area as oncology, for this reason nowadays the multidisciplinary approach in the oncological treatment is deeply necessary, consequently every patient who is evaluated for the first time in our center will be seen by the oncologist, the oncologic surgeon, and the radio-oncologist in order to define from the very beginning what the best option of treatment for each case in particular will be. 

                       -Highly trained personnel: All the personnel working in this unit has been carefully selected and highly trained in the oncological field and the specific area to which every member has been made responsible of, and has been certified by the college of each specialty as well as skillfully trained in other countries, all this in order to tender our patients the best service that can be given, as well as world’s most innovative treatments, here in Mexico. 

                       -Advanced Equipment:  All the medical equipment that is used in the treatment process is new and the most advanced in the market. In reference with the radiotherapy field, we possess an Elekta Precise linear accelerator with multileaf collimator which allows us variate (modulate) the intensity of the beam, this lets us concentrate high doses of different radiation intensity inside the tumor,  diminishing to the least the unwanted dose of radiation to healthy organs, tissues and even healthy organs inside tumors. There’s no doubt that this treatment is considered as one of the most important advances in the radiotherapy field in the last 20 years. Moreover, to be able to offer this kind of treatment it’s necessary to have a big and complex infra-structure based on computerized systems that are capable to make image fusions and tri-dimensional reconstructions of healthy organs which must be protected as well as the zone of the body which is aimed for the treatment. Before starting the first treatment and at least once a week the virtual plan of treatment will have to be verified in order to make sure it is the same the patient is receiving.

                      At last and but not the least, it is important to let you know that all our personnel in this unit has both, vast experience and very high sense of humanistic quality to serve you or your beloved ones at those difficult times.
